The dinner, because it is without meat usually has a kind of fish. A very common dinner in Italy is seafood like Octopus, Sword Fish, Salmon and especially Anguilla. Anguilla is a common eel that is found in Italy and eaten on Christmas Eve.

Christmas Day lunch is the most important meal of the three different ones that are on Christmas. There are a lot of people that come together as a family and can last many hours. There are two parts to a Christmas meal. The first part of the lunch is Italian antipasto, which is different meats and cheeses.

Christmas Lunch is very important, but the day after is when people visit other family and friends they didn't see on Christmas. This meal is not as big and fancy, but still important to see family. More antipasta will be served and this is when people give presents to other people and usually a chance for people to try different types of food they have never had before.
